Ja...Heather - Happy End. It's almost too much!

Jacqueline- exactly, he won't bring the nuk to college. But will he bring the retainer that is still straightening his teeth :0??

Steve, I gotta admit I think Thorval is a super cool name. Though only if pronounced correctly: TORvahl. Is this how he pronounced it? Or was he too ashamed to say it out lound :D?

I find it so interesting that Pippi Longstocking is NOT the best known of Astrid Lindgren's books in Scandinavia. It must be Ronja the Robber's Daughter or however it is translated into English.sea legs girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782712411873234071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-66227283069160337392011-07-13T18:01:51.392+02:002011-07-13T18:01:51.392+02:00Umm, a couple letters of "Sigurd Olson" ...Umm, a couple letters of "Sigurd Olson" disappeared from my comment.SteveQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16943650844671498074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-33308884958277490562011-07-13T15:03:57.045+02:002011-07-13T15:03:57.045+02:00hey SLG, what a wonderful vacation after the last ...hey SLG, what a wonderful vacation after the last few months of working/researching, Nathali leaving, and just before child#2 arrives, really really pleased you had this opportunity to spend time with SR and the Lorax, albeit with lots of family around...! Best wishes in the countdown to the birth of child#2, very excited for you (even now after 37 weeks!!) :)cherellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13643258879501877022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-55233599792291435742011-07-12T17:30:54.534+02:002011-07-12T17:30:54.534+02:00I just looked up Astrid Lindgren... Now I'm adding "American" to everything and I just come up with pop references: American Pie, American Beauty, etc.

Avoid the spur of the moment Scandinavian naming! That's how my father ended up with the middle name Thorval (which I think came from a Sigurdson novel my grandmother was reading at the time).

Never been to Sweden, ("but I've been to Oklahoma. They tell me I was born there, but I really don't remember...") but I've been to Toronto. Toronto is a very tidy smaller, less diverse New York.SteveQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16943650844671498074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-70802241871786771022011-07-12T15:49:15.762+02:002011-07-12T15:49:15.762+02:00Your vacation spot looks really amazing and relaxi...Your vacation spot looks really amazing and relaxing. I am almost 37 weeks and don't even feel pregnant some days - rare contraction here and there but nothing that would make me think it's going to happen any time soon. I was two days early last time and that was perfect but for some reason I think I am going to be 3-6 days past my due date. Hope we're both wrong!Allison Chapplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05345469985528298687noreply@blogger.com
