Abbie, luckily I didn't have an episiotomy. The fact he was so small certainly helped. I did have two stitches up in there somewhere that I am not aware of when I exercise.sea legs girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782712411873234071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-50501023508886671012008-02-23T03:56:00.000+01:002008-02-23T03:56:00.000+01:00Christian is gorgeous and, yes, he does look like ...Christian is gorgeous and, yes, he does look like SR! At least people aren't all, "He doesn't look like either of you!" or "He looks like an alien!" :)

Thanks for sharing this update. I'm really impressed that you've been able to ease back into the exercise as well as you have. From my uneducated position, it almost seems like easing into exercise after childbirth can be compared to easing into exercise again after an expedition race or a 100 miler or something extreme like that. Only the soreness and fatigue might be centralized in a -er- slightly different region of the body.

Congrats again and I look forward to following your family's progress!

MeghanMeghanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01328667395623963868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-82869393716952300812008-02-22T18:55:00.000+01:002008-02-22T18:55:00.000+01:00So I've also been following your blog for a while....So I've also been following your blog for a while. Sorry if that's odd... But I'm due in four weeks and was wondering whether you had to have an episiotomy or not and if so, how it's affected your running. Your son is adorable. I love the picture with the four of you. It's like he knows that he needs to pose for the camera.Abbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03709207120243840223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-78117305870357477792008-02-22T13:58:00.000+01:002008-02-22T13:58:00.000+01:00So, I wouldn't be me if I wasn't a little nervous ...So, I wouldn't be me if I wasn't a little nervous about the exercise...your body is still healing from labor, so it's ok to ease back in!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-1294393104073084452008-02-22T08:22:00.000+01:002008-02-22T08:22:00.000+01:00Congrats! I'm 9 months pregnant and have tried to stay as active as possible but suffered quite a bit of pelvic pain throughout the pregnancy so wasn't able to keep running 3-4 miles, a few times a week. (My former level.) But I'm pretty confident I'll bounce back fairly quickly after the birth. If she would just get here already.....!Briannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06431194963154093500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-35668201270118973462008-02-22T01:25:00.001+01:002008-02-22T01:25:00.001+01:00Forgot to spill the beans....Allison is pregnant!Forgot to spill the beans....Allison is pregnant!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01522295240646935316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-40847916709512718522008-02-22T01:25:00.000+01:002008-02-22T01:25:00.000+01:00Oh, SeaLegsGirl.....he is soooooooooo cute! Now that she's four, everyone always says she looks just like me (and she does now!). So I'm sure Christian will exhibit some of your features as he gets older. :-)Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01506473191113043504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-21033331256069877422008-02-21T16:27:00.000+01:002008-02-21T16:27:00.000+01:00You are both right. SR joked about injecting me with some other woman's egg and I started crying. Yes, the new mother psyche is quite fragile. :0)sea legs girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782712411873234071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-40071117035161660632008-02-21T06:46:00.000+01:002008-02-21T06:46:00.000+01:00I agree with Olga!
