I am embarrassed, but I admit ...AWESOME swim time.

I am embarrassed, but I admit I have to beware of the sideways swimming problem during tris myself even though I grew up as a swimmer my whole life. Of course, I grew up as a swimmer who was told of the problem early on and relied too much on the lane lines and looking underwater to make sure i was straight (or, in the case of backstroke, those lines above the ceiling, the flags, etc). The problem is poor form during breathing, for most people. harder if you have a back injury or your shoulders aren't aligned because of poor posture, but you can correct little things like that if you are aware of them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-87145204636317001802010-07-06T18:56:03.260+02:002010-07-06T18:56:03.260+02:00@Helen: I never have to ask for directions, beacus...@Helen: I never have to ask for directions, beacuse there's always a woman nearby more than happy to tell me where I can go (and what to do with myself).SteveQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16943650844671498074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-45043216295253491422010-07-06T17:18:32.732+02:002010-07-06T17:18:32.732+02:00in swimming as in life - men have a limited sense ...in swimming as in life - men have a limited sense of direction... and are hesitant to ask for directions or in the swim case follow a female swimmer :)

nice job lady - great to see the swim time improvements. as for the bike it is all about time on the bike - if you get a chance to train more you will easily improve your times.Helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06015544399068863167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-4447368980525859392010-07-05T21:40:11.891+02:002010-07-05T21:40:11.891+02:00Please tell me you are protecting that radiant ski...Please tell me you are protecting that radiant skin of yours with all this outdoor activity. Despite being a runner, the swim is always my best event in the tri. This is why I don't do them anymore :pDannihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02201053516148787578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-31212212629084246562010-07-05T14:03:02.251+02:002010-07-05T14:03:02.251+02:00Loved the video.
