No matter how low your body temperature usually is, 98.6 is not a fever. It is still normal. I don't consider anything under 100 as a real fever. Above 99.5 makes me wonder. And that applies to all humans.

Thanks for the kind words, Julia. Yeah, I know I'd be just as loved at 60 kg, but I might also get depressed.sea legs girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782712411873234071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-53608166645076374722009-11-13T17:30:06.345+01:002009-11-13T17:30:06.345+01:00Six weeks of illness didn't help my weight any...Six weeks of illness didn't help my weight any - lack of food was made up by lack of exercise.

You have me wondering: how do I determine that I have a serious fever if my normal body temp is 96.6? Is 98.6 for me like 100.6 for others or is it not a fever at all?

BTW, the obsession with calories is not unusual in my book, but the honesty of reporting it is. It's very hard to get humor just right in print, nearly impossible when sick.SteveQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16943650844671498074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-67671249695886092652009-11-13T15:00:50.012+01:002009-11-13T15:00:50.012+01:00SLG, I'm sorry about the "hint of truth&q...SLG, I'm sorry about the "hint of truth". I am very proud of how healthy and happy she seems here. Last time you wrote about your stepdaughter's weight, it sent up a lot of red flags, but I hoped I was misreading. Again, I hope I'm just missing your humor here. I always enjoyed reading your blog but now I feel a little sick to my stomach, like I just realized that I've been enjoying a train wreck. I'm sorry to be so harsh on your blog, but I hope that you can clarify.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09937383392492900568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-34581678506992650212009-11-13T04:01:42.854+01:002009-11-13T04:01:42.854+01:00I have to say, I think you have a mental illness. ...I have to say, I think you have a mental illness. Anyone who tries to catch norovirus, tries to count the calories in vomit and calories burned by a fever, and expresses excitement over her young daughter losing weight and keeping it off is really sick. I know you don't like to read comments like this and you'll probably delete it, but I still had to say it. You're an adult and you can mess up your health as much as you want, but it makes me so sad to think of the damage you're going to do to your kids.Abacushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04325477467866378060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-31682742167825407942009-11-13T01:33:51.050+01:002009-11-13T01:33:51.050+01:00WHA....????????WHA....????????Allison Chapplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05345469985528298687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834846832861622672.post-48795724905890398452009-11-12T23:24:52.253+01:002009-11-12T23:24:52.253+01:00You're funny/insane. Though once in Kenya I was delighted to have room for another day of feasting. It was a "stomach room" issue more than a weight issue though.Dannihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02201053516148787578noreply@blogger.com
